Floriek aka Fleur

Fleur shares her Dams sass for life being a real dressage diva! However she also has her sires ride-ability and aims to please!! When I started the backing process with her, everything was so easy!! Like she had done it all before.. a born professional.

Frustratingly, we noticed Fleur had started poking her tongue to the side, every dressage riders worst nightmare!

She had all the appropriate checks to make sure she wasn’t in pain anywhere, and we now believe that an injury as a foal (running into a 5 bar gate to see her friend who was my old pony) has left her with some slight nerve damage.

She is receiving some alternative therapies for that and we hope to get going with her again in the next couple of months. She was schooling at Elementary before her break and as she always had the 'I've been doing this my whole life attitude' I'm super hopeful that she will enjoy being back in the arena soon

Floriek is by the wonderful Floriscount. Gold medalist of the 2014 Nuernberger Burg-Pokal Musical Kur, the VTV 2014 Dressage Sire of the Year, and the 2nd highest ranking stallion on the German 2014 FN Breeding Value Index list. All of his foals have gained a premium. He  dominated his competitors at his performance test, winning the dressage index with scores up to 10.0 for rideability and his canter. His debut as a sire in 2010 was a sensation and everyone talked about his strong type foals. All over Germany, they won foal shows and brought top prices at the Verband auctions. He had much success through the levels and is now working at Grand Prix.

His sire, Florencio I, was the 2004 and 2005 World Champion of young dressage horses and in 2009 he won the coveted VHO Trophy at St. Georges level.

The dam, elite mare Arkona, is also the dam of the premium stallion Sandakan (by Sandro Hit), Damsire Donnerhall, is a foundation sire and undeniable legend.
