Willemien
Sire: Jazz
Dam Sire: Jalisco
Year: 2003
Willemien aka Whinny
We imported Whinny as a green 9yo from Holland as a project. She is a very kind genuine mare that just needed her hand held when in the arena. She regularly gained 70+% and went on to be the Elementary Area Festival Champion in 2014.
Unfortunately Whinny came in from the field a bit foot sore one day and after investigations at liphook we found she had inflammation within her collateral ligament. Box rest isn’t my favourite option so we decided to turn her away and put her in foal!
Whinny is is by the world renowned Jazz who is recognised as one of the most influential dressage stallions in modern history. In 2006 he got the predicate Preferent and in February 2007 he was named KWPN Stallion of the Year. He was ranked number 1 on the WBFSH Dressage Sire Ranking in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Jazz was known to be a Grand Prix horse producer. He has 13 licensed sons and 99 preferent daughters. KWPN has counted 125 Dutch warmblood registered offspring by Jazz competing at national and international Grand Prix level and 195 at small tour level.
Whinny’s dam is by Lisco who is by the world renowned Jalisco B, a Grand Prix Show Jumper who competed in the 1988 Olympics. Willemien’s dam line includes several Inter 1 dressage horses as well as several graded Kerr, pref, prest mares and even 5 elite mares.
