Swingtime II aka Bradley

Rising 22 and now quite happy enjoying a well deserved retirement.
Bradley was my first competition horse and although the first couple of years were very rocky, we persevered and when I took my working apprenticeship with Daryll Thicket, he helped us enormously and got us out competing.Daryll helped me with all Bradley’s quirky ways and our partnership blossomed! We then relocated back home to Kent and were selected for the under 21’s southern region team where we got lots of experience out competing. Bradley then took us to Home Internationals and Inter-Regionals. He was selected for the national training programme where we again gained lots more experience and met lots of amazing people. He taught me all about the world of dressage and I owe a lot of my successes to him.
He had a fab career, taking me from Novice through to Advanced Medium. We did a few PSG's HC before he had a run in with one of the other horses on the yard, which unfortunately left him with a cracked sternum! Coming back from this was really difficult and although we gave it plenty of time I decided after all his great achievements he owed me nothing and deserved happy retirement. We tried to get him to live out, but he has refused and so is still based on the competition yard keeping everyone in check.

Bradley is by the legendary Gribaldi. Gribaldi was the 1995 champion of the stallion selections and 1996 champion of his stallion performance test and has been proclaimed a Keur stallion. In 1997 he was the winner of the four year old stallion competition in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. He was Reserve Champion in the Pavo-Cup for four year old dressage horses. At the 2006 Zwolle Stallion Show Gribaldi was Champion of the Grand Prix ‘Kur to Music’ scoring 75.35%, and placed second in the Grand Prix class scoring 69.96%. His sire, Kostolany, is the top Trakehner progenitor who also performed at Grand Prix level. In 1995 Kostolany made history by siring both the Sieger (Champion) stallion and the Sieger mare.
Gribaldi sired Grand Prix horses and Dutch A-team horses Totilas, Sisther de Jeu and Painted Black. At the time of his death in 2010, there were 707 KWPN registered Gribaldi mares, over 300 of which had received the ster predicate.

Bradley's Dam Sire was the KWPN Keur stallion Ulft, stallion to world renowned Ferro. Ulft ranked in the top of the performance test for stallions, and was the first stallion to receive a 9 in dressage.
