Dyani

Sire: Desperados

Dam Sire: Regazzoni

Year: 2011

Dyani aka Ruby,

By Desperados out of a Regazzoni mare.

Ruby is a super sweet mare with the best attitude! She gives everything 100% at all times! That said she has been a little bit marmite with the judges. Gaining anything from 66%-76%.

We have spent the last year and half focusing on the training as I think she will shine at the higher levels. Now working medium with the odd baby change on its way! Looking forward to when she feels confident in her work and be able to go out and dance

Ruby is by Desperados, Kristine Bröring-Sprehe's team medal winning Grand Prix stallion. In sport he is one of the most successful dressage horses ever. His performance record is impressive both in the arena and in breeding. All over Germany he has supplied top foals for many foal shows and auctions, often selling for five-figure prices. Desperados has sired 35 licensed sons.

He received the Grande Prize in 2012. In 2016 he was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year and was the number 1 ranked horse on the FEI/WBFSH World Dressage Breeding Ranking. Desperados and Kristine Sprehe were the anchors on the German dressage team at the 2012 Olympic Games (8th in the Kur). At the 2013 European Championships in Herning they were fifth in the Special and Kur. They won team gold and Grand Prix Special silver at the 2014 World Equestrian Games.. At the 2015 European Championships in Aachen they earned team bronze and GPS and Kur silver. At the 2016 Rio Olympics they added team gold and individual bronze.

Ruby's dam line brings forward Regazzoni, by the legendary Rubenstein (multiple Oldenburg dressage champion, series winner of dressage competitions up to advanced class, and multiple Intermediare II and Grand Prix winner). At Regazzoni's 100-day test he scored an overall 140.53 points, with a dressage index of 152.16. Scoring a perfect 10 for temperament and rideability, he was champion of his testing over 53 other stallions. In 1995, Regazzoni was federal vice-champion German riding horse in Warendorf and in 1996, he won the finals of the German five-year old dressage championships. Regazzoni was then ridden to FEI Intermediere level. Regazzoni has produced thirteen approved sons and several states premium mares to his credit.
